Unsupervised Design

  • Thanks to @grantisagrant for taking this photo of Luna while she guarded the parcel I delivered to his doorstep today.

  • Today Luna didn’t come to help with work. She just wanted me to know she misses me and wanted some cuddles.

  • “Helping” with work this morning.

  • With Luna in the house now chew toys are contested resources so Hugo has taken to sleeping with one this morning.

  • Tried something new tonight and made some hamburgers from scratch. Turned out pretty well!

  • This week I finally got around to checking out this collection of upscaled macOS wallpapers and using the Tiger wallpaper on my computer for some nostalgia.
    Last night I set it on my iPad as well and it is deeply satisfying.

  • Just finished up a little pre bedtime baking! Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies!

  • Some bright news in this strange time.
    This week we welcomed Luna into our home and as of today we have adopted her!
    She and Hugo play until they both pass out asleep, and the cat would like to launch her into the sun (but that feels about normal).

  • Time flies when you are having fun!
    This quarantine period has really demonstrated this proverb in a strange way since it feels like it has been 9 years since the beginning of March.
    On a more fun note, 9 actual years ago today my friends and I performed this sketch in Wolfville.

  • I went to store my muffins in a container and discovered that we have managed to fill all of our storage containers with leftovers.
    I had to turn to the cookie jar

  • Tonight’s entertainment is coming via paper book.

  • Did some quarantine baking this afternoon. Just simple banana muffins today, cookies will wait for some evening this week.

  • Had a great interaction with our local coffee roaster, Java Blend, today. I have only ever purchased my beans in person but today I placed an order because we were starting to run out at home. Less than 3 hours later one of their employees dropped the order off at our home!

  • We were supposed to see Steve Poltz live next month here in Halifax but that’s been postponed.
    Tonight we are enjoying his live house concert.

  • This morning on my walk I was overwhelmed by how loud and constant the birds were. 🎶🐦

  • A lovely March day! Working from home on a snowy day like this isn’t so bad.

  • Reading this post was a perfect way to start a Monday

    So my dog has been so happy that everyone is home for quarantine, that his tail has stopped working, so we went to the vet and the vet said ‘he had sprained his tail from excessively wagging it’ 😂😂😭😭💔💔 – Emma Smith

  • No matter what is happening in the world Hugo always reminds me that it is okay to relax

  • Tak is soon to be 13 years old and has long been a creature of habit. He has always slept in a chair or on a human bed.
    Starting the day we lost Hercules last month he has taken to sleeping on one of Herc’s beds regularly.

  • Saturday is bath day for some members of the household.
